L5R Session 02-3: Dance With Me

"You gave your all in that go match, didn't you? If there is something I could do to help you feel better, please tell me."
"...really, Jinsuke-kun? If I invited you to a dance, you won't mind?"
"...that's not quite what I expected. But a deal is a deal. Lead me on."

The last of the L5R Session 02 artworks, a more lighthearted ending compared to all the hoolabaloo that happened. He wasn't too sure he's up for a dance, but her passion was infectious. Definitely softer and more painterly than the previous takes, but I guess color symbolisms were what I was going for here (notice the palette similarities in their clothes/fans and the ikebana arrangement). The black draped Bayushi robe on the table was a last-minute addition, included at the suggestion of the Dungeon Master, so as to make it clear that she's a Scorpion, not a Phoenix.
